The annual tradition of the Norwegian Russ celebrating graduating school continues in the summer of 2023. For all Russ groups keep an eye out for updated information on the closed facebook group pages.
Ios has always been a popular destination for the Irish, especially as part of their Leaving Cert celebrations or interrail (last destination before heading back to Ireland). Majority of Leaving Cert groups travel either last week of June or first week of July. Interrail groups tend to arrive late July or early August.
Ios has also been very popular with Australian’s over the last 10-15 years with many either island-hopping or backpacking through Europe. We even see a greater number who stay to work the summer or recently owning bar on the island. The annual Australia Day celebration is held mid-July (approx. 14th July) & similar-to Swedish midsummer the party starts early in the village with crazy scenes down at FarOut Beach Club in the later afternoon.
